I read about the avatars and think i would like one, i am going to email you pic of homer simpson that i like, if you could just put my user name on it that would be cool.
Congrats!!!!!!! on taking your first steps on what we hope will turn you into a lifetime runner. Now that your out there don't go out for a "nice jog" but go out for a nice run!! Jogs are for people that get off the couch once a month to make themselves fill good that day. Sounds like your way past that. Look forward to hearing a lot of success stories from you.

Default hello

Hi,
I am a higher milage runneer that doesnt race, i run pretty much to compete against myself. I just made a post in 10k about that. Looking forward to using this board for advice and some friendly debate.

also i would like an avatar, i will also PM Admin for this. Maybe an empty track would go good with my thoughts about running by myself.

Hi, I'm Crusher - actually I just couldn't think of a good screen name so Crusher it is I run to relax, as I am sure a lot of runners do. I started running as my excercise as I travel a lot for work and have found running to be something I can do anywhere, once I started I found it relaxing and something to look forward to at the end of the day. Looking forward to reading the posts.

Smile FredBros

Hi, I'm Fred aka FredBros from www.wanarun.net (France's top running dedicated website). I'm 43 and started running at ... 41.
I train 4 times a week, had tremendous progress in 2009 (from 46 min to 39 minutes on the 10K) and plan to have more tremendous ones in 2010.
I write about running - sorry in French - ... everyday on Wanarun Le site sur la course pied tu vas courir o ?

Default Thanks for the welcome to the site!!!!

I am a runner/marathoner/ soon to be ultra runner from Central PA. My name is Matt Lindsey. I like to train on roads, trails, or wherever my legs may take me for an adventure. I am a police officer that works the midnight shift, so all of my runs take place when the rest of the world thinks that I should be sleeping. Why sleep, when you can train you body to run without sleep.

Smile hello

Hello...a quick intro...I'm new to running (two years now) and have fallen in love with it! I even remember the run that it happened on =) I've done multiple 5k's and a 10k so far...was training for a marathon last year but ended up injured 8 weeks prior and had to cut way back on distance =(....
Looking forward to connecting with other runners!!!

Welcome, thanks for becoming a part of our running community.
You might have noticed a lot of people have some nice looking pictures to go along with their names, we would be happy to make one for you, just send a private message to Admin with a general idea of what you would like and we will take care of it.
Something we do for our members to make our forum a little nicer than the rest.
