The Ultimate Trail Run

Well, I have set the goal, now to set a date and route. Yup, I'm going to go run the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim! I've been reading up on it, and I believe the route to take will be North Kaibab to Bright Angel Trail. Parking shuttles are available to take me back to my car - I don't feel up to running another 24 miles BACK! So... to set a date..... Though highly discouraged, I would like to go late August/early September. The park's water sources are all on and I would plan the run so that I ended around 10 am. Just have to mind those burros!

Has anyone else done this or hiked it?

Sounds like an awesome run! I've read about it but never even seen the Canyon let alone run it myself. I am sure it will be and experience of a lifetime!

That sounds awesome. I have never heard of it, but I am really intrigued and am going to research a ton on this. It does sound like an experience that everyone should try!
