forgot to mention, I'd rather run hills than do speedwork. I think they are my secret weapon as running is my fountain of youth!

Yes, speedwork. Hats off, hands down this is tough stuff speedwork. Essential to getting faster but tough stuff. Coach Will (former elite ironman) has gave me a new understanding to speedwork. I show up weekly on Wednesdays. Sometimes I cry even lol. Not kidding it hurts running fast lol. 800s repeats, mile repeats, 600s, the list goes on and on. I sware sometimes when I am on that track I picture myself running straight off that track and into my car and straight home. For all you fast runners being speedy does not come easy. You guys are rock stars.

I have learned that I can have the same bonding moment on 1 mile repeats at maximum heart threshold in 3 miles that I would have on mile 20 of a marathon with someone. Isn't that a odd thing. Truly amazing hahah. Anyways. Learned alot in the last 2 months. Certainly have tons more to learn. But speedwork yes you are definitely something not to take lightly. And my previous definition of speedwork prior to coaching well lets just say I HAD NO CLUE. Speedwork do it. Harder than running 20 miles ummm I am saying yes having now participated in both
