even though I said earlier that I would not be racing anymore until my 6/5 marathon, I did end up running a local 10K this past Saturday. It was more of a training run for me since I had to run 12 anyways and I'm glad I had no lofty goals of actually racing it because it was the first time for this race and it was a pretty confusing race and the timing was all wrong at the end of the race. But it was a hilly course (one hill called "puke hill" just to give you an idea), so it was good training run for me.
I probably did end up getting 1st in my AG because there were only around 10 people running the 10K (most were doing the 5K, but it was a small race with only around 40 people), but I didn't hang around afterwards - just kept running. And the only reason I think I came in 1st is because the other 5 or so women running the 10K did not look to be in my AG.
