The past Sunday I made my first official race. It was "Corrida do Avante" in Seixal (some km south from Lisboa, Portugal).
I was very nervous of course... never been to a race before... just trainnig for some weeks...
It started at 9:30
I knew the distance (supposedly 11,6km) and I wanted to make something between 50-55min.
Started in a good pace and I quicly thought that I would have a some kind of trouble ahead in the race...
Those trouble didn't come, so I just kept running

I made 7km before 30 min and by this time I started to dream about making less than 50 min.
When I passed the 10K I was 42:41 (!) This was a very good time for me.
I finished the 7,21 miles in 48:46.
I'm very happy with my race. Much better that I expected; I'm planning the next one already: 10k in 18/Sept.
