You are so funny. That is actually a huge accomplishment. Must feel nice to have all the laundry done. I hear you on that one.

Here's my accomplishment for the day....I went for a run. Not huge accomplishment but it reminded me that I am strong and can do anything I set my mind to. When I run, I feel closest to god. That sounds corny but it's true.

My other accomplishment is joining this forum which I am truly honored to be a part of. A great group of people. That are kind and supportive. You guys all rock!

I am not sure which I am more proud of.

My first ultra that I did on the spur of the whim without training for. In Oct 2006 the Andiamo 45 miler I won overall in a ex-course record of 6:34:32.

OR

My first competitive ultra in March 2009 the USA National 50k Championship at Caumsette finishing 3rd in 3:46:30 and being the under-30 National Champion and qualifying for and running at the 2009 World 50k in Gibraltar, finishing 5th place.

These are all so inspiring. I'm brand new to running, so my accomplishment is that I went from a complete couch potato to running 2-3 miles 3 or 4 times a week. More importantly, I feel better and am eating better and teaching my young son that exercise and eating healthy is just a part of your normal routine. My high school alumni was this past weekend and I ran the 2 mile race, improved by 2 minutes from one I did 6 weeks ago. My 2 year old ran the "tot trot" and got a medal and is so proud of it. He asks every morning when he gets to go run again.

Thanks for this site, I ran across it by accident, but love it!

Default I've become athletic after losing 120 lbs.

My life has changed so much in last two and half years. I work out 6x/wk now ... boot camp, running (training for two halfs this fall), bike, lift weights. I've come to love moving, moving, moving.
I feel better about myself in so many ways ... more capable, confident, stronger, have better leverage.
And now I'm actually a mentor for a women's running club.
Fitness has changed my life.
