Default First Year

This is my first year of running races, my Half Marathon was my Anniversary. as of January till now I have logged 450 miles. I think altogether last year I logged about 125 miles. it seems to be progressing slowly.. and thats great.. I did not want to get anywhere to fast. Two years ago when I started Weight Watchers I weighed in at 300 lbs. and started doing alot of walking. everytime I would reach another goal they would have me get up infront of our meeting and he would ask me to share my successes secretes and the one thing that I kept repeating was.. do not ignore the energy. and really...thats what got me running.. because walking just didnt cut it.. and now I am a runner... and have met some really great people.. its really amazing.. I could go on and on but I wont... lol so I am gonna say... DONT IGNORE THE ENERGY!!!! just wanted to share... keep running my friends!!!!! ( P.S I have LOST 85 lbs.)

Great job! I used to weight in at 300lb and with the help of grastric bypass and a personal trainer I lost 167lbs. I recently gained 10 pounds due to not running but am getting rid of it now that I am running again. Its true you cant ignore the energy. Running is natural when you have so much energy to burn. The medals are cool to!!

That's amazing! I was at 260 pounds and started working out at the gym on my own and dropped 20 pounds. However I had to stop at the gym cause I had to have shoulder surgery. I gained 10 pounds back because I was out of the gym. When I went back, I got a personal trainer and he started kicking my butt twice a week. After a month He told me that he wanted me to start running and work up to a 5k that was coming up in a couple of months. I laughed at him. Now I am down to 180 pounds, and I haven't looked back. I LOVE RUNNING AND I KNOW THAT YOU DO TOO!

Losing weight is hard work and there will be set backs along the way. But every day is a new start! Keep trying and it will happen. I love running and am glad to be running again.
