The biggest personal accomplishment that I achieved with the help of running is losing over 100 lbs. I went through some personal issues in 2009 and told myself that I had to put myself first, that I wouldn't be any good to anybody else unless I took care of myself. I changed the way I eat and I started exercising. Eventually I started running and found out how much I love it. So far I've run in several 5 Ks (
PR 24:10), a ten mile race (1:36:04
PR) and two half marathons (1:56:19
PR). There is no stopping me now!
