A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others.

It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you're not.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end. ~Larry Bird

I just replied to your post in general running about 5k times. hopefully there was some helpful advice in there. im not exactly a veteran running myself but i just completely threw myself into it and wanted to learn everything about it and how to improve my times. ive only been running 2 years really seriously but this weekend at a race in tampa i hope finally break in the 18 minute 5k zone on a certified course. It might be 18:59 but i will take it. i ran a 19:24 two weeks ago and have been focusing on the 5k distance.
i think im going to race a couple of the watermelon series races this summer in lakeland. i will be sure to message you when we head that way. let me know if your going to run around here.

    Hi..
My wife and I "running and reading" live in Tampa. I was wondering if you run any of the races that the Lakeland runners club put on. we did the aching quad series last year over the weekend of september 12th and had a blast. the course around lake Hollingsworth is nice..
I will message you if we are running up there in the future..

ok, well I have the garmin now.. got it on Sat. and of course I had to give it a try.. I have this rout thats 1.5 miles in my park where I live, put the thin on and gave it a try. the cool thing about it that I really like is, its showing your pace the whole time your running, so I can really step it up.. my usual pace has ben right around 9 and some change.. so in my first run I tried to stay above that. and I did. best time ever! 12.51 way cool, I am really looking forward to testing this on some long runs. I think its really gonna help me big time.. the GARMIN 305
