Default Starting Training

I am so stoked! One week from today I will be starting my training program to run a HM in December. I don't really need 5 months to add 4 miles to my long runs, but my endurance is pretty low and I want to come in at under 2 hours my first HM.

I can't wait to add that 13.1 sticker to my car!!!!

yeah CelticHippie! You will do great and have plenty of time to build speed and mileage.

Are you doing the Las Vegas half?

Unfortunatley, a tight budget will keep me from doing any traveling for runs right now. I'm going to stay local and do the White Rock Half here in Dallas.

This is awesome! Good for you starting training early, that way you will know you gave it all you got. Can't wait to hear how the training is going as well as the race report once the time has come!!

I ran my half yesterday! I didn't come in anywhere near my goal, but I finished!! Since I started training I started having hip problems, so there's how I was doing when I started training, then there was the slow down followed by slowdown, followed by slow down.

BUT..... I DID IT! In celebration I put my 13.1 on my car, and *finally* earned the right to wear my 13.1 sweatshirt! I've got another one in a month. So a couple days off and back to it!
