They are made in the kitchen. Your diet has everything to do with seeing your 6 pack!

I completed P90X on April 7. It was about the hardest thing I've ever done, but also the most results I've ever seen. I've spent YEARS at the gym, even with a personal trainer and never got the results I have now.

When I started I could do 0 pull ups, I was huffing and puffing... the first few weeks were tough. In fact for a good 60 days I was sore all the time. Good thing I like that feeling! Anyway, I can now knock out 15 (now 20!) pull ups, tons of push ups, I have muscles that I've never seen before, I even have abs! Still working on that 6 pack, but hey.... I'm getting there. I will always be a work in progress.

I lost 10%+ body fat. I'm strong, fit and very lean. Diet also has everything to do with it. If P90X is too intense, Beachbody has lots of great programs and I know about them all, if you have any questions.

I'm about to start marathon training, but there is no way in heck I'll stop my P90x/Insanity workouts.
Hey life...what # full is this for you? I wonder how your training will go with the P90X w/o. Just curious. I want abs and upper body. don't want to be big just tight. I want clear definition in my arms. is that wrong...I don' think so. thanks for your help

This is number 10. It's going really well!! I'm in the best shape of my life, I'm just plain STRONG. And I live at nearly 10,000 ft.

Nothing wrong with wanting clear definition in your arms, so do I, and I have it.. but I want more. Just cuz I can.

PM me if you want some pics.

By the way, I DNF'd two other marathons at around 18-20 because of a hip/pelvic injury. I only count the completed ones!

This has nothing to do with how I look or me thinking I am fat, people just don't get that I want this for better fitness. Appearance is just a side effect. I know that the extra I have in my middle is standing between me and a faster pace.
I hear ya. I stopped listening to people who don't workout or aren't athletic long ago. They all think I'm skinny. My athletic friends just think I'm fit as heck.

Middle squish is largely diet. And time. Truly being consistent with clean eating, weight training (in my opinion) and cardio which of course is running, is the key. My stomach is the last to lose the fat. It will come off those with patience and persistence! :-)

Now that is sound advice.

Default My question, how long will you do it?

Px whatever. It's a fad. Military style exercise bootcamp whatever. My question is how long are you going to sustain it? One year, 10 years?.
For me personally I stick to what I think I will do for the indefinite future. who knows what that will be but 36 years of running and 34 years of lifting so far.

Same as diets, changing the way you eat makes sense, temporarily starving yourself or eating only grapefruit or whatever, no sense.

52 years down, 58 to go. 50000 miles ran,50+ to go. RR

Sorry, I disagree with you. For me, it's not a fad.

You said you stick to what you think you will do for the indefinite future. I choose to embrace a little more change and challenge than that allows. I loved running for the 10 yrs I ran. I got tired of it. Now I'm onto something new and I love that. Why do I need to do it for 50 yrs? I'm old enough and smart enough to know what works for me. What works, changes. Life changes. I love that. I'm not the same person I was at 30, or 40 and now at 50 I'm on a whole new path.

Same old same old bores me. And my body.
Oh, and I'm not on a "diet," those don't work, in my experience.
To each his own.

I don't think what works changes at all Ok, I'm not as strong now as I was at 21 that is a given. I'll never be bored with running. I'm bored with going to the gym- I can't think of anything interesting to do in a gym. I therefore minimize my time there. 10 sets total, 5 exercises, 2 times a week.

I might later change to something else outside go back to biking, rowing etc.
Gym-Boring!!!!
