Default 5k Saturday, Miles for the week???

I have a 5k Saturday, smaller race, actually have a good chance of finishing top 5 overall.

I ran 6.4 yesterday, 8.5 today and I really need advice on milage for the rest of the week. (wednesday and thursday)
I am taking Friday off.

when i search online, it seems like the advice is all over the place, I would rather ask here because I know Im getting answers from runners. thanks for any advice you can give me.

I say run your regular miles for the week and count your 5k as your speed work for the week but dont do any speed work until Saturday. Good Luck with the race. What race are you Doing? RUN LIKE HELL AND GET THE AGONY OVER WITH. "A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more. Nobody is going to win a 5,000 meter race after running an easy 2 miles. Not with me. If I loose forcing the pace all the way, well, at least I can live with myself" - Someone who was a good runner

The suncoast sprint, its in a park in Hudson, FLoff of hwy 52. I think the race is on the suncoast trail where i usually run anyway.

im going to push it and then give my body a break for a few days. been lifting weights and running everyday. getting worn out.
