Default My first!

I'm running my first 10K on Saturday. Any week-of tips?

No tips. But good luck. I am going to do my first 10K on July 4th. Can't wait to read your race report. I hope that everything goes smooth and that you really enjoy the race!

Start slow. First time racers always go out faster than intended. Something about the excitement of the event, faster runners surrounding you, adrenaline, etc.

Ooooohhh my favorite distance. Good advice Kegan. Start slow. If I start slow, I can really bring it on later. If I start out too fast, I am done for the rest of the race.
Have a great time!

When you get tires and you will! You may notice yourself slowing down. Pick a runner going near your speed but inching ahead and him/her to pace yourself for a distance. Think about each mile not the whole distance. Most of all think of yourself as a winner!! Have fun!
